What happens if you cook chips that have thawed but have been kept in the fridge?

Hello, thank you for your question but the answer depends very much on how long the chips have been in the fridge for. If they have not been in the fridge too long then they can be cooked in the oven but they will not end up looking as good as if cooked from frozen. This is because frozen oven chips are designed to be cooked from frozen. If they have thawed in the fridge they may well be a bit soggy.But if left in the freezer, they have an incredibly long shelf life, take a look at our shelf life list here

If they have been in the fridge for a long time then they may well be off, so the answer to your question very much depends on how long the they have been there! Don’t forget that as soon as chips are defrosted then they should be treated the same as fresh foods and they will not last any longer.
