my cupboard onboard our canal boat has frozen solid eg: tins soup, peas & other vegetables, salmon, sardines – Is the food safe to eat?
We're sorry to hear of your hardship! If the items were fresh and within date when they went into the freeze then they will be fresh when they emerge. As long as you eat them immediately when the ice starts to melt. Perhaps our page on how long your frozen foods last in storage will help. Here's to some sun soon!
