I put my moth eaten clothes in the freezer like you said and now some of my food has gone grey and speckled. I think the moths are eating my mince. What shall I do? Moth balls might make my food taste funny...
You must have quite a large freezer in order to have your clothes and food co-existing! We see you have been checking out previous questions... a good one to follow up on. Although it would be easy to blame those pesky little moths, we are happy to report they are not the problem. It seems to us that you have a serious case of freezer burn on your frozen food. This is mostly caused by not properly packaging your food therefore air is getting in. Your frozen food is probably drying out due to faulty packaging. Is it home frozen produce or frozen foods from a shop? Supermarket food is expertly frozen so it is unlikely to get freezer burn. Read about frozen food and freezer burn here.
You might want to invest in proper freezer bags or containers – follow our link on safely storing your frozen food. Otherwise, click here to see where your frozen food comes from.
Happy freezing!
