I have made a fish pie using frozen cod fillets & then mashed potato on top, the container holding the cod fillets says "do not reheat", should I throw the remainder of the pie away or can I use it up the next day by re-heating it? I will not re-freeze it
Yes tricky one Gordon, for safety reasons we always recommend adhering to the guidelines given by the frozen food manufacturer.
I am unclear whether the original fish fillets that you used were cooked then frozen, or frozen from fresh? If they were cooked by the manufacturer and then frozen this may be why you cannot reheat them again. But either way you should veer on the safe side and follow the instructions on the packaging. It sounds like you may be a fish fanatic... why not have a look at some of our recipes from frozen foods, there are three fish recipes there.
