Does pastry freeze well? How long can I keep it in the freezer? I am referring to uncooked pastry.

Thank you for your question! Pastry freezes very well and there is nothing more tempting than the aroma of freshly baked foods first thing in the morning. By baking small amounts you can ensure your family enjoys the ‘just baked’ freshness you want while reducing costly waste with frozen (anything you do not want can be put back in the freezer for another day!). Frozen pastries don’t require much work and are best baked straight from the freezer, freeing up your time in the kitchen as there is no time required even to defrost them! To answer your second question depends on how well you package your frozen pastry. If you ensure that the packaging is air tight it will last for longer, possibly up to a year. I hope this helps. You also need to ensure that your freezer run smoothly. Click here for more info on freezing, storing and defrosting your frozen foods. Happy baking!
