Do I have to wait for food to cool before putting it in the freezer?
Yes allow me to elaborate!
Firstly hot food will warm other foods and could raise the temperature of the fridge and secondly, the outer edges of the hot or warm dish will freeze hard quickly while the inside may not cool in time which will spoil the over consistency of the food.
Once you have cooked food, you should wait until it has completely cooled to room temperature before placing it in a Tupperware container and then storing it in the freezer. Cool foods as quickly as possible before packaging them and placing them in the freezer, this keeps the amount of bacteria growth to a minimum.
