Do frozen breaded scallops need to be kept frozen till ready to cook, or can they be stored in the refrigerator? Anon.

What an interesting question. These days, most frozen breaded scallops are packaged to be cooked from frozen. If you let them thaw in the fridge before using them, the bread coating on the scallops can go soft. So to ensure crispiness, keep the frozen scallops in your freezer until you wish to cook them and follow the cooking instructions on the packaging.
