Could you please advise on the safety aspect of thawing frozen foods and the aprox times when using the Halogen Oven, which is now available
There are three safe ways to defrost frozen food:
1. In the refrigerator
2. In cold water
3. In the microwave
It's best to plan ahead for slow, safe thawing of your frozen food in the refrigerator. The bottom of the fridge is most ideal. After thawing, cook food immediately. Anywhere between 40 and 140 °F bacteria multiply rapidly, so the quicker you thaw and are able to cook food the better.
Thawing frozen food should be done through one of the methods stated above before cooking whether in a Halogen Oven or otherwise. For more information on the Halogen cooker I would advise you to contact the manufacturer or retailer of the product. I hope this answers some of your question.
