I caught some fish two days ago and i just defrost them yesterday is it safe to eat them today.

Hello and congratulations on your catch! Did you freeze them immediately after you caught them? If so, this is the best way to preserve fish and it is exactly what happens off our coastline. Indeed much of the fish we eat was frozen within hours of catch to make sure that it is as fresh as possible (some of the ‘fresh’ fish you buy might not be as fresh as you might hope).

If you kept your thawed fish in the fridge after defrosting it should be fine to eat it the next day. The firmer the fish the fresher it is! Happy cooking... Fish freshly frozen tastes like it has just been plucked from the water.Please see below for recommended storage times of frozen fish:
